Web24 Jun 2024 · Hi, We have recently added a new storage node to our Luminous (12.2.13) cluster. The prev nodes are all setup as Filestore: e.g 12 osds on hdd (Seagate Constellations) with one NVMe (Intel P4600) journal. With the new guy we decided to introduce Bluestore so it is configured as: (same HW) 12 osd with data on hdd and db + … Web26 Jun 2024 · When migration starts, we log the last position of data in the old system (both the storage service and Iris have this information) and then start migrating data to new system (shown in step B in Chart 2 below). Once finished, we check whether the data position moved. If not, the account now allows writing traffic to the new system (step C in ...

Web22 Nov 2024 · Even though ZenFS, which is a file system plugin of RocksDB, shows a decent throughput with a large-zone ZNS SSD, the performance with a small-zone ZNS SSD is disappointing because the small-sized zone has no room to exploit the internal parallelism. WebNVMe ZNS kernel block support and tools, which got accepted and integrated in the Linux 5.9 kernel.4 For MySQL users to benefit from ZNS SSDs, the MySQL storage engine needs to implement the ZNS NVMe interface. The MyRocks storage engine, based on RocksDB, has log data structures that are well aligned with the NVMe ZNS sequential write requirement. WebIf there are any NVMe SSDs you do not wish to use for RocksDB/SPDK testing, remove them from the configuration file. Make sure you have at least 5GB of memory allocated for huge pages. By default, the SPDK setup.sh script only allocates 2GB.
