WebStudy Leave. All junior doctors in training have access to up to 30 days of study leave a year (15 days for FY1 doctors). All study leave applications should be made via your employer – please refer to the links below regarding authorisation and claims. Trainees must follow local trust processes regarding applying for study leave time. WebA full time trainee in General Practice normally works a week made up of: • 1 session VTS (during VTS term time) • 1 session self-guided study time • 1 session tutorial • 7 sessions clinic time (8 sessions out of VTS term time) Each session (clinical, VTS, tutorial, self-study) should comprise 4 hours to make up a 40 hour working week.
