Cytokinesis function
WebCytokinesis ensures that one nucleus ends up in each daughter cell. During cytokinesis, a contractile ring of protein filaments forms along the membrane at the center of the cell. As the contractile ring begins to shrink, it pulls the cell membrane along with it. This forms a cleavage furrow. WebCytokines play a broad role to help the immune system respond to diseases, and drugs which modulate their effect have led to some amazing therapies. Cytokines may be "good" when stimulating the immune system to fight a foreign pathogen or attack tumors.

That way cytoskeleton helps to have an internal environment that is separated from the environment (actually that function is associated with membrane) but also helps mechanics, movement and better survival fo the cell.
