WebCustomer: I have a 2001 PT cruiser that has a P1391 code. Intermittent loss of CMP or CKP. I check harness by plug. Had 4.99 ref point I have a ground. I have 8-10 volts . Aftermarket napa crank sensor did not fix it. When I remove cam sensor I have spark and a short sound like it want to run. No spark when cam sensor is connected. WebFeb 4, 2015 · P1391 – Intermittent loss of CMP or CKP. Always first make sure the connector contacts are clean and the connectors are tight. Make sure there are no loose or bare wires. If all the wiring and connectors are good - I would first try a new crank sensor ($30/$40), as the cam sensor is part of the distributor.
